Republican Presidential candidate Congresswoman Michele Bachmann appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” today with host Candy Crowley. At about the mid-way point of the interview, Congresswoman Bachmann winds up with one of Candy’s note cards in her hand…which she awkwardly hands back to Candy as they come out of a soundbite.
Here’s the video:
I have NO CLUE what they were up to. Like I ask in the video, if Candy had dropped one of the cards and Michele picked it up, wouldn’t Michele’s suit be ruffled up? Her suit looks fine, which leads me to believe that Candy handed her a note card. Why? Good question.
I wonder how many times Sarah Palin got this treatment? Did Charlie Gibson let Sarah read his notes? Did Katie Couric? Did Charlie Rose? Did Barbara Walters let Sarah Palin read her interview notes?
So much for the media giving Michele Bachmann the “Sarah Palin treatment.” I’ve been hearing that in the news quite a bit lately. I think this could help to put that fallacy to rest.
Just for the record, I don’t offer this as a knock against Michele Bachmann, I offer this in DEFENSE of Sarah Palin.
The original video is below. “The incident” captured above occurred in PART 2 of CNN’s interview with Congresswoman Bachmann.
